At Ópera Maritim, we combine Italian culinary excellence with a unique concept that fuses flavors, ambiance, and art. With over two decades of experience at Ópera Portals, owners Francisco Gost and Manuel Presa decided to take a qualitative leap to create a gourmet Italian restaurant where every visit is an unforgettable experience. Our culinary journey began in June 2023, and since then, we have offered much more than just food: a space where gastronomy meets opera, sounds, and carefully designed décor. Our first restaurant, La Terraza, opened in 1969 in Alcanada, marking the beginning of a passion that has brought us to where we are today. The name Ópera Maritim reflects our vision of integrating lyrical opera performances into the heart of the Mediterranean atmosphere—a combination that leaves no one indifferent.
At Ópera Maritim, our mission is to offer a complete experience where Gothic and modern design meet the warmth and closeness of our service. We work with eco-friendly and local suppliers to ensure that every dish tells a story of respect for the environment and local culture. We blend Italian traditions with Mallorcan and Mediterranean influences, creating a perfect balance between the classic and the innovative. Our team is made up of passionate professionals committed to delivering a positive experience for every guest.
Led by our head chef, Óscar Cabrera, and guided by the vision of Francisco Gost, in charge of production, and Manuel Presa, responsible for administrative management, we work in harmony to ensure the highest quality in every detail. Most of our team has been with us from the beginning, sharing our passion for great taste.
Our gastronomic offering is a gourmet fusion of Italian cuisine with touches of local and Mediterranean flavors. Our menu, carefully designed in collaboration between Chef Óscar and Francisco, features dishes that stand out for their originality and the use of fresh, local ingredients. The goal is to create a culinary experience that invites guests to share and recommend. At Ópera Maritim, we have big dreams: to become a gastronomic landmark in Palma, expand our menu with new creations, and deepen our connection with the world of lyrical performing arts. Additionally, with our upcoming Ópera Club concept, we aim to offer an exclusive space where guests can enjoy a first drink in a distinguished atmosphere.
